Pinnipedia is a mammalian clade within the suborder called Caniformia

Pinnipedia includes Pholcidae (true seals) ,

Otariidae (sea lions & fur seals) and Odibenidae (walruses)

Out of all the other families within caniforms, pinnipeds are closely related to Ursidae

So in a sense, they're water bears!

Or at least seals are, IDK I'm not a zoologist, I'm just autistic my bad (｡ᵕ ◞ _◟).

My favourite pinniped is...

Ribbon seals! I love them so much, their coat patterns are eyecatching,

the way they move across ice is quite silly in a charming way,

and (in my opinion) baby ribbon seals are cuter than harp seals

(though they are still quite adorable)

And whilst I identify will all pinnipeds, as not only am I fat, but I also love to swim

(though I haven't done so in ages, I'd lve to do it again)

I especially identify with the ribbon seal, and I'm gonna be honest, IDK why

My second favourite pinniped is the Walrus tho, love them so much ♡
